Every countdown on this site is calculated live in your browser, from your device's clock and time zone. Nothing is typed in by hand, so the numbers never go out of date. When you open a page, it works out the exact time until midnight on Christmas morning and converts it into the unit you chose. It then updates every second. After Christmas Day, every countdown rolls over to the next Christmas automatically.
